Bhubaneswar based Club-73 clinched a double today by emerging champions in two all-India football tournaments.
While one of their teams won the 5th All-India Biju Patnaik Memorial tournament at Rourkela, the other team lifted the trophy in the R N Singh Deo Memorial All-India Tournament at Titlagarh.
In the final at Titlagarh, Club-73 defeated Birla Tyres (Balasore) 2-0. Prakash Majhi and Sunil Singh scored the two goals in the 10th and 15th minutes of the first half.
Club-73 claimed the top prize of Rs 25,000, while Birla Tyres took home Rs 15,000.
